Field guide · MEME TRADING

Before you buy a meme coin: a six-point check.

How to read a meme coin's holders, developer wallet, liquidity and sell pressure in a few minutes, and what a cluster of trader buys does and does not tell you.

Start with who holds it

Look at the top-10 share and at what snipers, bundlers and insiders still hold. When a handful of early wallets control most of the supply, their exit sets your price. In Mojo, the holders tab tags sniper and bot wallets and shows each wallet's average entry and hold time.

Read the developer wallet and the contract

Check how much the developer still holds and how many tokens they have launched before. Then check whether supply is mintable, wallets can be frozen, liquidity is locked, and whether there is a buy or sell tax. A token you can buy but cannot sell is a honeypot.

Weigh liquidity against the hype

Thin liquidity means a modest sell can move the price sharply. Compare liquidity with market cap and look at whether sells are outpacing buys over the last hour before deciding on a size.

Treat a crowd of buyers as a lead, not a verdict

Several tracked traders buying the same token within minutes is worth a look. It is not a guarantee: you may be seeing it after the move, and those traders can sell at any time. Ask who they are and whether they are still holding before you follow.
